Independence Angel

Our tour starts visiting the most important icon of Mexico City: the Independence Angel. Located in the famed Paseo de la Reforma avenue, this monument is dedicated to liberty and Mexican heroes. You can listen from our guide the history and meaning of the sculptures and the most famous column of the city.

National Anthropology Museum

In this stop we’ll start a time travel, knowing the material traces and artistic creations from the main cultures that have lived in Mexican territory, from the American continent population to the Aztec empire creation in XV and XVI centuries.

We’ll promenade through rooms with information about all civilizations from Mesoamerica, such as Teotihuacan, Toltec, Mexica and Mayan. We’ll follow the traces of prehispanic societies watching the archeological relics from the most recent excavations, accompanied by etnographic studies.

We’ll admire with the collections from the first habitants of Mexico, such as the sun stone, also know as the Aztec Calendar. We’ll watch the reconstruction of temples and graves of ancient civilizations with historic pieces, that are part of the cultural heritage of Mexico.

The National Anthropology Museum keeps the most significative archeological pieces of the nation, such as the sculpture of Tlaloc, the god of rain. . We’ll know in detail the pieces that have made it the standard of protection for the cultures and indigenous towns of Mexico.

You can see very close the sun stone, also known as the Aztec Calendar, colosal heads from the Olmec culture, giant Teotihuacan sculptures and the King Pakal grave from Mayan civilization. Also, you can delight in each room of the museum with collections from all the nation.
