Itinerary

Snorkeling with turtles in Akumal

In the middle of Riviera Maya, there is a place called Akumal, that means “turtles places” and is a sea fauna sanctuary. Here, the sightings are very common, because this place has all the conditions for the turtles to live happily.

We’ll give you all the necessary equipment to snorkeling, and from the beach, in well bounded zones and guided by and expert, you’ll swim inside the bay in calm, blue and crystalline waters, and with a little patience, right in front your eyes, will appear the famous turtles of Akumal. The route lasts one hour. You’ll also see fishes and stingrays.

Tulum archaeological zone

We’ll visit the most famous Mayan city of the Caribbean, that means ‘wall’ and delimits the city by north, south and west. On east there is the Caribbean, from where the first Europeans were impressed to see the city while navigating in this turquoise color waters.

We’ll cross the wall to the archaeological zone, and from the entrance, we’ll see this beautiful city built over a cliff in where stand out the main avenues, palaces, temples and mainly, the castle, that is the biggest edifice just before an exit to the Caribbean.

We’ll know the importance of this city as a marine and land trade city. We’ll tell you about the importance and secrets of this civilization, while you delight with its wonderful sea views and colors.

In this tour you have to chose one of the following cenotes, Azul or Carcol.

Cenote Azul

Of the most visited cenotes in Quintana Roo. An enormous sweet and fresh water cenote, open type, that is like a natural swimming pool with little fishes, low deep pools for all family members and perfect areas to swim, jump and snorkeling to admire the beautiful sea fauna. If you stay quiet, you can see and feel a little shoal. A very funny sensation!

The tour ends taking you back to your hotel.

Cenote Caracol

Miles inside the jungle, far away from all urban noise, there is the famous semi open cenote Caracol with a beautiful grotto and footpath.

We recommend you first walk through the footpath under ground’s level and watch the vegetation, stalactites and stalagmites, and with a little luck, see multicolor birds, specially the toh. Visiting this grotto, in some moments, let us see beautiful landscapes and listen sounds from another world. And with another piece of luck, we can see funny monkeys in the jungle.

In the main cenote, apart from swimming pleasantly, there are beautiful caverns at the bottom, some of them a little hidden, where you can swim too.

The tour ends taking you back to your hotel.
