Tour brief description
Tour for 2 up to 15 people from Mexico City.
Get to know the famous Blue House, where one of the most emblematic Mexican artists lived: Frida Kahlo. In her home you’ll know part of her work and creative universe.
Later, enjoy a pacific ride through the Xochimilco channels, humanity heritage. Fill your eyes with multicolor flowers from the artificial islands, called ‘chinampas’, that are surrounded by aquatic channels. Also, we ensure you’ll find mariachis singing and playing their instruments on a boat. You’ll get the gastronomic touch with a lot of Mexican snacks, a whole spectacle in a festive atmosphere.
To end your private tour, we’ll visit the San Angel neighborhood, famous for its main garden, colonial streets, cultural ambient and the ancient convent of El Carmen.

Itinerary
Blue House
We’ll start the tour visiting the Blue House in Coyoacan, one of the most beautiful and ancient neighborhoods of Mexico City. The Blue House is the old living place of the most famous Mexican paintress: Frida Kahlo, wife of the also famous Diego Rivera.
You can see personal objects, see in front of you works so important, such as “Viva la Vida” or “Frida y la Cesarea”, and especially, you can feel the atmosphere and energy of this magic place.
Xochimilco, mariachis and Dolls Island
Later, we’ll go to Xochimilco, to navigate in its channels on a colorful boat called ‘trajinera’. In this ride we can enjoy typical appetizers, while we listen mariachi music, experimenting the Mexican ambient of this place.
Flowers and colors will be present while navigating through the channels, also in this ride, we’ll stop in the Dolls Island, a place where you can listen a Mexican legend and why on this chinampa there are a lot of old toy dolls hanging from the trees.
San Angel
The private tour will continue in the famous neighborhood of San Angel, famous for its stories and legends. This place is also known by its old and beautiful houses colonial architecture and its bricked streets covered with bougainvilleas, all in an artistic ambient.
Del Carmen Museum
Finally, we’ll visit Del Carmen Museum, ex-convent and religious ex-college, built on XVII century. We’ll watch paints, sculptures, altarpieces, reliquaries and mural paints from novohispanic artists, and of course, very beautiful architectural spaces.
In addition, we can see naturally mummified bodies, which where founded during the Mexican Revolution (1910). Also, we’ll get close to a collection of 50 wax statues of Mexican traditional musicians and dancers, almost in miniature, elaborated with an amazing realism.
The tour ends taking you back to your hotel.
