Tour brief description
Tour for 2 up to 15 people from Mexico City.
You’ll know a magic town from the state of Morelos: Tepoztlan, a unique sample of ancient traditions and a mix of a wide variety of cultural manifestations, a place that shows prehispanic and viceregal treasures.
You can visit the ex-convent of Tepoztlan, and if you wish, go to the top of Tepozteco hill, where there is a little archeological zone and a wonderful view of the landscape.
Later, we’ll arrive to the magic town of Taxco, a colorful colonial and miner town, worldwide famous by its silver handicrafts. There we’ll visit the Santa Prisca church, the Guillermo Spratling Museum and will take a ride on the famous city’s cableway.
In every moment, our certified guide will explain you the place histories, the curious details, the development and the importance of the visited sites.

- You may have the physical condition for climbing during 1 hour 30 minutes to the top of Tepozteco hill (optional activity) important: If you want to climb the hill, keep in mind that the visit time to Taxco will be reduced.

Itinerary
Tepoztlan
We’ll walk in the colonial streets of the town of Tepoztlan, we’ll admire its architecture, its stoned streets, the brilliant color of its flowers and its warm weather. We’ll take a walk through the marketplace, we can visit the beautiful ex-convent of Tepoztlan, also called “of nativity” and watch from the top of the Tepozteco hill, the incredible pyramid in the archeological zone.
If you wish, you can climb to the top of Tepozteco hill, from where you can watch the marvelous landscape.
Santa Prisca temple in Taxco
Later we’ll visit Taxco, a magic town famous by its gold, silver, tin and iron deposits. In detail, we’ll see the temple of Santa Prisca, built in baroque style between the years 1748 and 1758. We’ll watch a building from XVIII century, an architectural, sculptural and painting prodigy, and of course, we’ll walk along the colonial streets of this town and we’ll have the opportunity to see silver handicrafts, the symbolic mineral of this place.
Guillermo Spratling Museum in Taxco
Here you can watch archeological representative objects from five cultural regions of Mesoamerica and see an historic semblance of the city. The museum has a space focused on silversmith and the local religious festivities.
(The museum is opened every day of the week, except Mondays).
Taxco cableway
This brief ride is one the activities more recognized in this magic town, you can enjoy the panoramic of the city, the whiteness of the houses adorned with red bricks.
After this, we’ll go to take our meal in one of the better restaurants of the place.
The tour ends going back to Mexico City, taking you back to your hotel.
