Itinerary
Basilica de Guadalupe
The tour starts in the Basilica de Guadalupe next to the famous Tepeyac hill at north of Mexico City. Your private guide will explain you the importance of this canvas and the Guadalupan cult as part of the Mexican identity since XVI century.
Basilica de Guadalupe Museum
This museum is located behind the Basilica and shows a mystic fusion of Mexican history with sacred art from XVI century. In this place we can appreciate the biggest cultural Guadalupan and Marian heritage with a lot of novohispanic pictoric art and we’ll watch the room dedicated to the archangels. Of course, they will explain us the significance of exvotes, pictoric and narrative popular art inspired by miracles made by the Guadalupe Virgin.
(The museum is opened all days of the week, except Mondays).
Teotihuacan
Our travel will continue in Teotihuacan, “the city of gods”, located at the northwest of Mexico City. There will listen the place histories, development, importance and the fall of the city.
You can climb the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon and walk along the popular Deads Avenue. Know the importance of this zone and impress yourself with this walk. After this, we’ll go to take our meal in one of the better restaurants of the place.
The tour ends going back to Mexico City, taking you back to your hotel.
